So Everything is seemingly regular during my day until I overhear someone talking about a new incident management software that our company is about to switch to, and I’m going to have to relearn all of the software from scratch. Really? I’ve only been working here for a few months and just got used to the old program, what a nightmare.
And to make matters worse, the Los Angeles County tax collector keeps calling because my ex-wife messed up my taxes this year by claiming things she was not supposed to. After being stressed out all day I decided to make a run to starbucks and get a coffee before I went home and got some more work finished.
While at Starbucks I used my mobile wireless Internet to connect online and look for things I had been wondering about for the longest time. Turns out that my iPad works in Starbucks too now they actually have “free Wifi” instead of having to logon to AT&T every single time.
One of my buddies called right after I sat down with my coffee and starting asking tons of questions about his new network operating system called Linux that he’s been going on and on about for the past few days. I think Linxus is cool, but I don’t know the answers to his questions… No idea why he would be calling me over something like that.
Sick and tired of my job, I sat out to see if there were any online teaching opportunities available so maybe I could eventually make enough money to quit my job and move on to bigger better things.
